Metabolismo secundario en plantas endémicas de Mesoamérica. Estudio de los compuestos bioactivos y mecanismo de interacción planta-planta y planta-otros organismos. Alcamidas como compuestos bioactivos y su biosíntesis en plantas. Actividad hormonal en plantas, evocación de mecanismo de defensa, efecto fisiológico en vertebrados interacción con los receptores canabinoides CB. Señalización de la interacción planta-microorganismo y planta-planta por señales volátiles.
